Children's Message - main service: The Writing on the Wall
Daniel 5:1-4 King Belschazzar's party. The king held a party and served his guests with vessels from God's temple while worshiping other gods. The hand of a man wrote on the wall but the king could not interpret it. None of the magicians could either. Daniel was called in and interpreted the writing. God was ending the king's reign and life. Everything God promised came to pass.

The Five Types of Government
Absolute Monarchy Example: Nebuchadnezzar
Limited Monarchy Example: Darius
Democracy Example: Alexander the Great
Might Makes “Right” Example: The Roman Empire
The Everlasting Kingdom The Only Example: Christ Jesus
In the times of the Gentiles, God has allowed believers to experience all these forms of government.
While the form of kingdom a believer may face is not always the same, every believer needs to long for and work for the Everlasting Kingdom that Jesus Christ will bring - regardless of what part of the metal man of Daniel they experience.
Part of how we long and work for His Kingdom, in a democracy, is by voting.
When it comes to voting:
King Jesus, I want Your glory to be the issue.
King Jesus, I want Your power to be the focus.
King Jesus, I want You Kingdom to come.
